Heritage Oaks is a private club in Sarasota, and private here has a specific meaning: the club states that membership is exclusive to homeowners within the community. This site previously described Heritage Oaks as semi-private, which was wrong, and the correction matters: a semi-private club sells tee times to the public and a club like this one does not. If you want to see the course before you buy, that is a conversation with a member or with the club, not a booking.
The club centres on an 18,000 square foot clubhouse, and the golf course is set up with multiple tees on each hole so that, in the club words, players of all abilities can find a comfortable course from which to play. The club does not publish its dues or any food and beverage minimum on its website. Figures circulate on third-party directories; none of them are used here.
