Misty Creek Country Club
Misty Creek sits on 350 acres of preserve east of Sarasota, with lakes and hammock forest between the holes rather than houses on both sides of every fairway. The course is a Ted McAnlis design playing to a par of 72.
That setting is the thing to understand about this club. A lot of Sarasota golf runs through residential development; this one runs through Florida, and the wildlife is part of the round. Four sets of tees stretch from roughly 5,208 yards to 6,895.
