Pinebrook Ironwood Golf Course

Pinebrook Ironwood is an executive course in west Bradenton, which means 18 holes at a par of 61 rather than the usual 72. It measures roughly 3,752 yards from the white tees and 3,122 from the red, and it was laid out by Dean Refram.

An executive layout is not a lesser course so much as a different proposition. A round takes well under the usual four hours, the walk is manageable, and the premium is on iron play rather than driving. For a part-year owner or a retiree who wants to play often, that combination is frequently the better buy.

The year the course opened is given differently by different directories, so it is left out here rather than guessed at. Rates are not published in a fixed table; call the golf shop.
