River Isles Golf Club

River Isles is a nine-hole executive course of about 1,600 yards at a par of 30, inside a 55+ community established in Bradenton in the 1970s. It is semi-private, which here means residents hold memberships and visiting seniors can play for a modest fee.

The operating model is the appeal. There are no tee times and no reservations: you walk on during open play hours. For a part-year owner who wants nine holes before lunch without planning a week ahead, that is worth more than another five hundred yards of card.

Resident membership is published at $620 a year, running January to December, and it covers unlimited golf plus entry to the mens and ladies leagues and the club tournaments. That is one of the lowest published figures for unlimited golf anywhere in this market, and it is the kind of number that changes what a retirement budget can carry.
