Terra Ceia Bay Golf & Tennis Club
Terra Ceia Bay is an 18-hole club in Palmetto, up near the north end of Manatee County where the Sunshine Skyway crosses to Pinellas. The club sells the course on a specific promise, three-hour rounds, which tells you what kind of golf it is and who it suits.
The league programme is the centre of the place rather than an afterthought. The Sunday mens league runs at $21 and the Tuesday couples league at $10, there is a junior programme, and members get discounted league rates. The practice ground works on hitting bays priced by size rather than a conventional bucket.
The Back Bay Grille is on site and does a Sunday brunch. Memberships cover tennis as well as golf. Green fees for casual play are not published in a fixed table, so call the pro shop.
