The Founders Golf Club
The Founders Golf Club is a private, member-owned club in Sarasota, Florida, established in 2005. The club is capped at 275 golf memberships by its bylaws, and is governed by a member-elected Board of Directors with no outside management company.
The Robert Trent Jones Jr. championship course plays 7,004 yards from the tips, par 72, with 10 tee positions. The course sits on a private 710-acre enclave with mature oaks and natural buffers, located 20 minutes from downtown Sarasota, 30 minutes from the Gulf beaches, and 10 minutes from Lakewood Ranch.

18-Hole Championship Course
A Robert Trent Jones Jr. design playing 7,004 yards from the tips, par 72, with 10 tee positions and a Scottish Links tradition. The course features natural contours, strategic bunkering, and mature oaks.
Practice Facility
A double-sided driving range running 300 yards, stocked with Pro V1x practice balls. An expansive putting green and a dedicated chipping and pitching area. Foresight GC Quad launch monitor technology available for lessons.
The Gillespie Grille
Pub-style dining open daily except Mondays, with a bar and fireplace. Traditional post-round dining with views of the course.
The Scotsman Room
Formal dining venue for special occasions, private events, and couples evenings. Features a James Beard-awarded executive chef.
The Verandah
Outdoor dining overlooking the 18th green through a canopy of mature oaks, with tropical fans and a brick fireplace. Lunch and dinner service.
Tennis & Fitness
Two night-lit Har-Tru tennis courts with weekly complimentary clinics. A private fitness facility with 24-hour access offering TPI fitness training, yoga, Pilates, TRX, personal training, and physical therapy from certified instructors.
