The Meadows Country Club
The golf at The Meadows changed hands in 2026 and the change is the headline. An affiliate of Benderson Development took a long-term lease on the golf operation, Arnold Palmer Golf Management now runs it as Meadows Golf Club, and the Meadows Course, previously reserved for private club members, opened to public play on 19 June 2026.
The announced offering is 36 holes. The Groves Course, an Arthur Hills design, is scheduled to reopen as restoration milestones are met rather than on a fixed date. The Meadows also has a third eighteen, the Highlands; how that course sits within the new arrangement is not established by the announcement, so this page does not state it either.
For a buyer, the practical effect is that one of the closest courses to downtown Sarasota is now playable without joining anything. If you are looking at a home in The Meadows, ask specifically what the residents club includes today, because the answer changed this year and older descriptions of this community, including the one that used to be on this page, are out of date.
