Timber Creek Golf Course

Timber Creek is a nine-hole par-three course in Bradenton, and the thing to understand about it is the ownership. It is owned and operated by the members of its condominium association, inside a 55+ condo community, rather than by a golf operator. That is a different animal from a daily-fee course and it shows in the atmosphere.

The course was originally an 18-hole layout called Santa Rosa. It was shortened to nine holes and redesigned by Roy Albert Anderson in the late 1970s, playing to a par of 27 over about 1,043 yards. The property is an Audubon bird sanctuary and the wildlife is a genuine part of a round here.

For a 55+ buyer who wants golf a short walk from the door and has no interest in a championship card or a club membership, this is exactly the arrangement that gets overlooked, because it does not advertise and it does not appear in the places people look. Club and electric cart rental is available during business hours.
