Area Guide

Living in Palmetto

Palmetto sits on the south bank of the Manatee River directly across from Bradenton, connected by the Green Bridge. It has long been one of the area's most affordable cities, but new master-planned communities like Artisan Lakes and Coasterra are changing the landscape — bringing resort-style amenities and fresh construction to a market that previously offered primarily established neighborhoods.

The draw is value and waterfront access. Palmetto's riverfront neighborhoods, bay-access communities, and new developments offer prices that are hard to find anywhere else in the Sarasota-Bradenton metro, with proximity to I-75, US-41, and the Sunshine Skyway.
